Established in the year 1984 as Shanmugha college of Engineering & later conferred with Deemed University status by the Government of India on April 26, 2001.
The University offers various UG, PG & Ph. D. programmes in Engineering, Science, Management, Law and Arts.
SASTRA is re-accredited (IV cycle) by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) with A++ grade and also ranked amongst the top universities by the Government of India through the NIRF and other global ranking agencies in various categories ·
